One of the assignments was about creating something within a theme. The theme from this one is called 'Death'.
While I was searching the internet that I thought was interesting for in my moodboard I thought about the way I
wanted to create this art. Did I want to make it using pencils, paint or do it digitally? That last one stuck
with me.
Seeing as I got mostly inspired by ghostly/ spiritually artworks I thought about what I wanted to
represent. Animals usually give a more sad feeling with death then humans can, so what animal? I decided on
elephants.
The picture on the left is my moodboard.
So as I was searching for something that could make for a Death theme I stumbled upon a Photoshop tutorial
that made a baby elephant glow. As I was looking at the preview picture on Youtube I decided that I could
use this as a spirit elephant.
And as I wass watching the tutorial my mind started making the idea that this could indeed be a cool Death
themed end result.
My idea is to make a savannah looking background, make it night so you could see the glowing of the spirit
elephant. But the sad story is that the mother lost her baby and even tho she now walks alone, she knows her
baby is walking beside her.
